Mendip CAB
This CAB
covers the towns of Frome, Glastonbury, Shepton Mallet & Street,
and the city of Wells - together with the surrounding villages.
The Bureau has a Service Contract with SWITS since 2001,
covering 3 servers, 60 desktops and 13 laptops across 5
locations, and is also a user of the CAB Local Information
Database developed by us.

Wells City Council
Wells City Council is using
South West IT Services on an ad-hoc basis.
One of our newest clients, they have 4
networked desktops computers and are considering installing a server.

 Ayton Online Research was established in 1995 to supply user-trials
to the cosmetics and toiletries industry. It provides a specialist
user-trial service to both Contract and Own Label manufacturers.
User-trials assist in meeting advertising standards and claim
substantiation. They pride themselves on their ability to
deliver a tailor-made service to reflect the individual needs of all
their clients which include manufacturers and retailers of cosmetics
and toiletries all over the world.
A panel of over 120,000 profiled trained volunteers are used to test the products. Volunteers have the
satisfaction of knowing that they are helping to develop products and contributing to advertising standards, and are able to
try the latest in cosmetics, toiletries and skincare free of charge. Opinion matters!

This business has used SWITS since 2004 on an ad-hoc basis to support their Small Business Server, 6 desktops
and 3 laptops.

Fraser & Co, Accountants
Fraser & Co are a family run accountants based in Shepton Mallet. Since
2004 SWITS has installed a broadband connection protected by
SmoothWall Express together with a server running Microsoft's Small Business Server 2003 and 8
desktop PCs. Fraser & Co continues to use SWITS on an ad-hoc basis.

The Learning Institute aims to help people set
up their own home-based business. Courses include interior design, garden design and horticulture,
writing, complementary therapies, and catering. The courses are supported by web-based material, and students can discuss issues with
each other. The tutors are all full-time practitioners, who bring their on-the-job experience to
the course. The students get advice directly from active experts - not armchair theorists. With offices in
the UK and the USA, the Institute has students in more than 30 countries around the world.
Beginning in 2004, this organisation used SWITS to develop a extensive Course/Tutor/Student database which has become essential to the smooth
running of the business, producing Letters and Certificates together with a substantial Email based student mailing system. The company has
a service contract with SWITS to support its Server, protected by SmoothWall Express, and 15 desktops and 5 laptops.
